The past few weeks I have been doing some closet organizing and clothes sorting/purging. I happened to find the scarf in today's post on one of those sorting/purging binges and really wanted to show this baby off! I came up with a pretty basic outfit, but the scarf is the focal point-as it should be, IMO.
Perfectly Purple
Jeggings: Kohls (exact)
Shirt: Kohls (exact)
Cardigan: Old Navy (exact)
Shoes: Kohl's (exact)
Scarf: Old Navy (not available online)
At this time of the year, you would not catch me outside in flats without socks on. However, since I am taking photos in my house currently, I went ahead and just slipped the flats on. (Sidenote: I need a new pair of black flats. When the weather is right, I wear these things all. the. time. Ha!)
Also, I think I need a trim. My hair is looking a little crazy here lately.
Lastly, a little blog business to attend to:
In the wake of organizing, sorting, and purging my clothing, I was left with very little to work with. Anything that was too big, too small, had holes in it, etc. got moved out of the closet and my side of the dresser. Clothes were either trashed, donated, or stored. Once I was finished, I took a good look at the remainder of my clothes, took stock, and started making plans.
All of this was in preparation for something that is coming to the blog soon. This change will be the first of many that will be taking place over the next couple of months. I am asking all of you for your patience and understanding as we do some updating around here.
I will continue to post as regularly as possible and will also keep you all updated on what is going on around here. This series could get rather interesting the next couple of weeks, so be share you are following on Facebook!

That scarf is great! (That shade of purple almost looks like Radiant Orchid!)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I certainly wish I would have remembered I had this scarf sooner than I did. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI love the print of that scarf! It's so pretty & looks great on you. Again, I love the concept of this blog series and I'm so happy to see you're sticking with it & branching out!!! Something I need to do too...
ReplyDeleteThank you! You are too kind! I am very excited about how this series has taken off. I have become inspired over the last few weeks and am looking forward to the things coming to the blog and this series in particular. With that being said, branching out can be difficult and uncomfortable because we are so used to "our norm". I started this series to try and break down my own barriers and I think I may have done a bite more than just that which thrills me to no end! You always have such lovely comments for me-thank you so much!

Beautiful purple! The outfit really looks good on you! And I love the purple shade.
ReplyDeleteI think your favorite store is Khols, if I had to guess. Each time I come here, you are always wearing at least one thing from there :) Not a bad thing, they have really cute stuff lol. I personally think this scarf is amazing. I love the pattern and I would totally wear it. Thanks for sharing your style with us at Countdown in Style! Don't forget to stop by Friday to see if you are featured! xo
ReplyDeleteHaha! Yes! And it's because of their Kohls Cash! I am addicted to that stuff. I'm also big on looking fashionable on a budget since we are a one income family. My husband says I'm cheap....I say I'm frugal. LOL! Thanks for stopping by!
