Operation: Get Out of Yoga Pants (Week 3)

Hello everyone!  Welcome back for the third week of Operation: Get Out of Yoga Pants!   I am having so much fun with this series.  I am challenging myself and I am starting to notice how I really think about getting dressed in the mornings.  This has already been such a positive experience and I can't wait to see what else is in store for me throughout this process.

I do have a slight confession to make: Today's outfit was not the intended outfit for today.  I had on today's intended outfit and then.....motherhood happened.  Some juice got spilled, Mommy's shirt got the brunt of it, and there was no other shirt to replace the now-covered juice shirt, so I had to improvise.

Which is totally okay because it made me think on the fly and that's what it's all about!

I did end up repeating some things from last week, but in my opinion, I made them look cooler with an added accessory: my glasses.

I call this look:
The Sassy-Casual English Teacher

Glasses: Modern Tomorrow (exact)
Earrings: Kohl's (currently unavailable online)
Scarf: Evie J (similar
Cardigan: Old Navy (exact)
Tee: Target (exact)
Jeans: Kohl's (exact)
Shoes: Target (currently unavailable online)

While this was a really simple outfit, I felt great in it.  It fit my personality, it was comfortable, and I felt confident in it.  The glasses really finish the look, in my opinion.  There's just something about a cardigan and glasses, I tell ya!

And yes, those glasses are my prescription glasses.  I wear contacts mostly, but I left them out today and sported the English teacher glasses. :)

(And right now my mother is so proud of me because I overcame my hate for having to wear glasses.
Now I just use them as a fashion accessory, Mom.)

Have you ever had a wardrobe mishap?

    1. Thanks Mel! When I first got these glasses, I wasn't too sure about them. They were a little thick for my liking, but they have really grown on me. I also have discovered they look better when I fix my hair....LOL! Thanks for stopping by!

  7. Love this series! I've been wearing yoga pants too much lately (and to too many places!) You're inspiring me to step up my game! I've always worn contacts but every once in a while I get a wild hair and wear my glasses for the day. I call it my "sexy librarian" look!

    1. Some days are just glasses days, in my opinion, especially days when I don't intend on leaving the house. Ha! Thanks for stopping by Stacey! Hope to see you back this week for a new post! :)
