Sooo. HI! Here I am. I know its been awhile, and my absence was kind of unintentional, but kind of not. More on that later...Like as soon as I finish writing this post, I will start writing an explanation as to why I basically fell off the planet. Anyway...
Today I am re-capping my May purchases for you. I'm still new at this monthly budget/shopping thing, but I think I am getting a bit better as the months go on. I didn't spend a whole lot of money this month, but I am pleased with what I got. I ended up buying some jewelry this month and some make-up, which is kind of out of my norm, but I got really excited about the stuff, so I went for it. So glad I did!
Kohl's and Target got my money this month, but I also won a $30 store credit to InBloom Boutique! I bought something from them that is totally different for me and I can't wait to wear them!
Items I Purchased:
Monthly Budget: $150
Spent: $136.06
My favorite purchase this month was the shorts. They are amazing! They are a 4 inch inseam instead of the usual 3 1/2 and I am convinced that extra half inch makes a difference. I will be buying another pair of these shorts-I love them that much.
The linen pants are exciting, too! However, they have to make a trip to the tailor so I can have about 5 1/2 inches removed off the bottom of them so I can wear them. Even if I wore wedges, they would still be too long for my short self.
That's all for now! As usual, I am linked up with Franish for Budget Bloggers!
I love those shorts & sandals!
ReplyDeleteThose shorts are my absolute FAVE! They are perfect! The sandals are great, too! They add just the right touch to my outfits-it's great!
DeleteThose are all adorable, I love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Angie!
DeleteI really like the v neck stripe top and the linen pant! Coral is such a gorgeous color !
ReplyDeleteThat v neck top is comfy too! I can't wait to get my linen pants hemmed so I can wear them! I'm actually contemplating buying the teal color, too. It looks really fun as well!
DeleteCute stuff! I really love that you have given yourself a monthly budget, because sometimes I go MONTHS and months without buying a single new item for myself. I need to be better about getting rid of old stuff I don't like & updating my wardrobe a little more- I'm so sick of feeling like I have nothing to wear! Great idea on the budget.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have found that it is MUCH EASIER to just have a budget in place for yourself. Before this budget, I wouldn't buy anything for myself because I felt guilty. Then, when I would, I would still feel guilty. So, now that I have a budget, it takes the guilt away and it is teaching me how to stick to my budget and how to really decide if I just want something or if I NEED it. Wants are okay, but necessities are more important. Especially when you are starting over from scratch like I did! Hopefully soon I will be able to buy more "want" pieces.
DeleteI love the sandals so cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Target had them BOGO 50% when I got them. I couldn't pass it up! They are pretty comfy too-both pairs!
DeleteWhat a great and responsible idea to have a budget for everything! Maybe one day...)) Love the shorts - perfect for the summer!
ReplyDeleteI love the shorts so much! I am getting another pair because I love them that much. The longer inseam is perfect for me since I am just a tad too old to be wearing "booty shorts". I love my budget! This is the first year I've been doing it, but I love it. It's fantastic!
