How I Stopped Blogging

*ahem*

Anyone still here?

Have you ever had one of those days where you were going through your "normal" routine and you stopped in the middle of your day and you thought to yourself, "I'm not feeling *insert chore* today.  It can wait till tomorrow"? Well, that was how I stopped blogging.

I just decided, one day, that I didn't want to blog that particular day and so I didn't.  The same thing happened for twenty-one consecutive days.  I found other things to do than sit at a computer and pound away at a keyboard.  I started going outside and doing yard work during L's nap times.  I started reading books after L went to bed instead of getting on the computer.  I simply just let the blog go.

I let it go because I needed to think without the monotony of a routine or the click of the keys on the keyboard.

I let it go because my brain was so full of blog junk that it was keeping me awake at night.

I let it go because I needed to be able to think about other things that I wanted to do with my life other than this blog.

Life & Leopard isn't going away.  It's not even in transition.  It, and I, are still here, we are just quiet.  We are thinking.  We are contemplating.  We are brainstorming.  We are delegating responsibilities.  We are taking some of the weight off of our shoulders and our minds.

I will return in August, but my postings will be less.  I will be dropping down to 1-2 posts a week and opening up Life & Leopard for guest posters.  (So, if you want to write a beauty/fashion post, email me!) This strategy will allow me to work on another avenue that I am passionate about and perhaps allow me to sleep through the night without waking up with random phrases in my head and my fingers on fire.

I think I have ignored it long enough.

See you all in August with more fashion and beauty love!

Happy Birthday, L!

Ya'll!  My little girl is THREE today! Ugh.  It's all gone by so fast!

We had her three year pics taken (yes, I'm that mom) this past week, and I am in awe!  I got the CD from our photographer yesterday and I just had to share some of them with you!

Maybe I'll write a thoughtful post one day about L turning three, but not today.  Today I want to celebrate her turning 3!  I have planned to take her shopping to spend some of her birthday money, get her some cupcakes (her fave), take her swimming, and then let the evening carry us after that.

Because she's only three once.

#Jamberry Nail Wraps Review + Giveaway

I have got a special treat for the ladies today! Have you all heard of Jamberry Nail Wraps? If you have, then you know how glorious these are and you can just skip to the end where I have a little somethin'-somethin' for THREE lucky readers.  If you haven't heard of Jamberry Nail Wraps, then you need to read on!

Who has time to go to the salon every two weeks to get a manicure filled?  (No, really, if you do, can you come watch my kid so I can go?) Let's face it, there just isn't enough hours in the day to do all the things we need to do and still take care of ourselves.  There just isn't.  So, what do we do?  We let things go.

Jamberry Nail Wraps are the answer to your no-time-for-a-manicure nightmares.  Jamberry Nail Wraps are a solid film covering that applies directly to your nail using a heat source (i.e hair dryer) and stays on your nail for up to two weeks! I gave L a bath with these things on, did laundry, dug in the dirt, carried boxes, scraped my nails across things, did dishes by hand in hot, soapy water...they never came off!  After the two weeks was up, I simply removed them how I had been shown and voila!  No damage to my nail!  At all!

Here is a great video that shows how to apply them and how to take them off:

And here is the manicure I did with my free sample!

The nail wraps also come in sizes for your toes and if you have a little girl-they make them in her size, too!

So, now that I have raved about them a bit, let me tell you why!  Not only do I love them, but I'm currently having an on-line Jamberry party with the coolest consultant, Mandy.  If you would like to come hang out with us, just follow the link here and click "Join" to join the party!  (If you have any issues, shoot me an email.) Mandy has all kinds of information to share with us and even a chance or two to win something!  Oh, and, did I mention you can shop online in your PJs!?  #winning

Lastly, remember when I said I had a little somethin'-somethin' for three lucky readers?  Well--I'm giving you all a chance to enter to win a 7-Day Trial Nail Wrap!  All you have to do is enter an email address that I can contact you at in the Rafflecopter below and I will randomly choose three winners to receive their own 7-Day Trail Nail Wrap! Sounds great, huh? The giveaway only runs for a very short time (4 DAYS!), so be sure to get your entry in NOW!

I hope you ladies take advantage of the party and go ahead and enter for your chance to win right here!
