I think you may be right-I don't think I can necessarily work jeans that well. Now, give me some leggings or jeggings (which I love both) and I will rock those all day long. I also adore maxi skirts, but am only 5'1, so most times I have to have them hemmed, which I will do if I love the skirt enough to spend the extra money. I am glad that I wrote this post, however, because it really started the wheels turning on taking care of myself and my needs, not just the kiddos and the husbands. That's their job! Make them earn their money that day. Try on every cut, style, wash, etc & shop around. Also, maybe jeans just aren't the right item for you. Maybe you should try something else! Jeggings, leggings, skirts, dresses, tights, etc. You can find a lot of cute, comfy, casual clothes that aren't jeans. I know it's hard- I get stuck in jean "ruts" where I feel like I have nothing to wear, and then I remember I don't HAVE to wear jeans if I don't want to- leggings and tights have been my friends lately :)Lulu and Sweet Peahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06225602291913113394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-820986351873878710.post-29686414573600202002013-11-13T22:40:26.024-06:002013-11-13T22:40:26.024-06:00Since I have written this post, I have discovered ...Since I have written this post, I have discovered jeggings. They are amazing. LOL! I did manage to find a couple of pair of jeans that will work for me, but I don't wear them as often as my jeggings. :) Sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05808263535885428618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-820986351873878710.post-23290104644109120602013-11-12T14:16:54.396-06:002013-11-12T14:16:54.396-06:00You definitely have to spend more. The other option is to buy jeans that fit well somewhere and get them tailored. That way they fit you the way they should. Good luck! Jean shopping is not fun, but man when you find that right pair..Liz Nelsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08370578579162181599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-820986351873878710.post-37229329767327690612013-03-27T14:32:29.092-05:002013-03-27T14:32:29.092-05:00Jaima, I have resulted to yoga pants. They're so much nicer there because I don't know a single fat girl who doesn't struggle with clothing fit. I can't say for sure they'll be that nice at regular size stores.Cassandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03576504078115706818noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-820986351873878710.post-77627632923676869642013-03-21T15:54:00.504-05:002013-03-21T15:54:00.504-05:00Cassandra, that sounds amazing! I know why I don't venture out and ask for help: I am embarrassed. I feel like I should know the answers. I need to just get over it so I can save myself some agony. Thank you for your comment and advice! :) Sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05808263535885428618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-820986351873878710.post-80461427844482020642013-03-21T15:26:57.174-05:002013-03-21T15:26:57.174-05:00One thing I have learned as an adult is that you s...One thing I have learned as an adult is that you should always just ask for help from a professional in the beginning. Don't even try to do it yourself unless what you need is right in front of your face. Not that it applies to everything, but for anything you experience any amount of frustration with, just admit you don't know what the hell you're doing and get the help.

By professional of course I mean a store employee who knows what they're doing. That will mean you need to go to a clothing store, or a nicer department store, not Target or Kohl's. Now that doesn't mean you'll find what you're looking for, but it will make the process easier.

I've spent my whole life fighting with clothes and dread every single shoppping trip. I'm to the point where I have a single pair of jeans, a pair of slacks, a couple shorts and skirts, a small selection of shirts, 2 pairs of shoes, and nothing else! I wear everything until it falls apart on my body. Then I make one trip to the store, tell an employee "This is the size I wear. I have no idea what I'm doing. Can you please help me?" and they direct me to everything, give me style suggestions, find my size for me, pull extras from stock in the back. It's sooo much easier.Cassandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03576504078115706818noreply@blogger.com
