Operation: Get Out of Yoga Pants (Week 2)

It's that time of the week again!  I want to thank you all so much for the great response to last weeks post!  I hope this one is just as, if not more, popular. If you are just joining us, head on over here and get the skinny on what this series is all about.

What do you say we get down to it?

Here is this weeks inspiration outfit:

This is, yet again, a comfortable and casual look.  One of my major goals for this series is to showcase ways that are still comfortable like the yoga pants/t-shirt  style, but that portray a more put-together look.

Here is what I came up with:

Leopard Love

Tee: Kohls (exact
Denim Jacket: Deb Shops (exact
Jeggings: Wal-Mart (similar
Shoes: Target (currently unavailable online)
Scarf: Evie J (similar
Trademark Black Hair Tie: Target (exact)

I wore this outfit on a quick run to the store the other day.  I normally don't break out the leopard print like this, but it was speaking to me this day. The outfit was easy to put together and I could move around in it without feeling suffocated.  It also made me feel confident and a little extra sassy because of the leopard print. I was glad that I went out of my comfort zone for this one.

Thanks again for joining me this week!
Leave me feedback!
I love it!

What have you worn lately that was a bit out of your norm?

  1. I completely understand about being a SAHM and "loosing" your style. Love your encouragement from this series. My daughters are older teens now and I've been told I'm too old for leopard...I'm might try it anyway! Found you at DBB

    1. Thanks for stopping by Danita! I don't believe that any lady is ever too old for leopard! My grandmother has been known to wear a leopard scarf on occasion! :) Try it out! You may like it!

  3. You look beautiful as always. I too have to make myself get out of my jammies. I always feel better when I get dressed. It's just going in there and doing it. I love the series and can't wait to see what you do next week. Love the outfit~ <3 Kim

    1. I felt the same way too when I started wearing scarves here and there, BUT I found infinity scarves and you can't mess those up. You just throw them over your head, re-arrange a tad, and done! I never hurts to try! :)

  7. Love this look! Yoga pants, a tee shirt, and jean jacket are pretty much my uniform til it gets to cold for the jean jacket!

    1. Thank you Trista! I actually got the shoes right when they were bringing in all the new fall stuff at Target. They were considered a spring/summer shoe, so I got them on sale for 5 bucks! They are super comfy too! Now I wish I would have purchased more than one pair! Ha!

  9. You look awesome! I have been looking for a short denim jacket just like that because I think they go so well with many outfits. And you're right, the leopard totally adds extra sass! :) I'm looking forward to seeing more outfits from you.

    xo Always, Abby

    1. Thanks Abby! I purchased that jacket in the spring to wear over a chevron print mint sundress and I actually never got the chance to wear the outfit! At least I kept the jacket and the dress! Come back next week for more! I'm already brainstorming next weeks outfit!
